Mr. S. Ganesh Kumar holds an M.B.A., B.Sc., Diploma in Banking, B.G.L., and C.A.I.I.B. He served as Executive Director at the Reserve Bank of India for over three decades, overseeing Payment and Settlement Systems, strategic planning, external investments, and foreign exchange reserves. He contributed to the Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology and played a key role in founding institutions like the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., and IFTAS. Additionally, he was involved in India’s National Cyber Security Council and helped shape the Payment and Settlement Systems Act. His expertise extends to the ideation, design, and development of innovative, technology-driven retail payment systems, including those now managed by NPCI.
